Made with my Kanban TSV stamps

Hi

A couple of weeks ago I ordered the Kanban Todays Special Value from QVC, to be honest I'm not a big fan of the ready made items from Kanban that you just stick together, I'm not saying they are not good products it's just that I personally prefer to play around with things rather than put sticky pads on the back of things, so when I heard it was a Kanban TSV I almost switched off - how glad am I that I didn't!

It was a stamp set with over 100 stamps and a CD with loads of background papers on them and here are my first 2 cards made with the stamps -

The one above was inspired by the idea sheet that came with the stamps, the background and sentiment and frame are all from the set, the flowers and ribbon are from my stash and the flower insides are card candy coloured in with pro-markers.

This one was made using background papers from Funky Fairies (sadly no longer open) and the stamp and sentiment from the Kanban set.

I coloured the image in with my Papermania water colour pencils and highlighted the dress with my Quickie glue pen and some extra fine glitter.

I am hoping my photography skills have improved after taking some tips from the internet, normally I have to edit my photo's loads but this little lot have not been altered at all so I'm chuffed that I've learnt something new :-)

Hope you like the cards

Quick post...

Just a quickie to post a card I made a couple of weeks ago, it was a request for a birthday card with a pig and a monkey holding hands!!!!! After tearing my hair out for an hour thinking how on earth am I going to do that I used an image from Pink Petticoat and an image from Digi Stamp Boutique, printed them side by side and made it look like they were holding hands :-)

I was really impressed with myself for this one as it took a fair bit of working out and I love the results. I don't normally use characters on my cards but I loved colouring it in with the chalks and then paper piecing it so I'm definately going to do a bit more character work.

Pig Image - Pink Petticoat
Monkey image - Digi stamp boutique
Papers - Doodle dots from Pink Petticoat
Chalks - Dovecraft
Pearls - from stash

Hope you like it

Crafty Sort Out!

Well I thought I would put my time off work to some good use and have a bit of a clear out and tidy up so I started with my dreaded ribbon box and I am very impressed with myself, it took me hours of lying on the sofa watching films to finish it off but it's all done now, I just wonder how long it will stay like that!

So this my before...... ( I should be very ashamed)

And this is the After.....

I used up all my bits of scrap card to wind my loose ribbons around and it's worked really well :-) I give it 2 weeks lol!

Thanks for stopping by

Forgive me bloggers for I have sinned....

........ It's been 4 months since my last blogfession!!!! I can't believe it's been 4 months, I've just had so much on lately that I haven't found the time to get on here but I'm going to make much more effort in future, I've still been making plenty of cards, especially since I had a Gastric Bypass recently so whilst on sick leave I've been working hard in my craft room. Instead of putting my photos on separate blog entries I've just decided to get them all on one then I can start again with separate blog posts for each card. Please excuse my photography skills, I have been researching on the net how to take good photos of your cards and come up with some good tips so hopefully the photos will get better soon.

This one is for my Mams partner who has literally been a little star helping out with our DIY jobs so I made this wallet card using the Pink Petticoat Big Fella kit (and the letters are also Pink Petticoat) and put some CD's inside for him.

This one was made using a leaf stamp from Laura Ashley and the flower was cut on my Silhouette machine then I put it through my embossing machine with the Swiss dots folder, the sentiment was printed from the computer.

This one (as are so many of my cards) was inspired by Sarita on little princess cards, the stamp was free from an issue of the docrafts creativity magazine, I stamped the image all over the pink background with clear ink, I had intended to heat emboss it in clear as well but my heat gun broke so I had to make do with just the stamp. The sentiment stamp is from Kanban's Spring Collection clear stamps.

This was one of those cards where my Mam rings me up and says she needs a Wedding card in 5 minutes can I do one, I think she thinks it's a 2 minute job to make cards, so anyway I came up with this one, the printed paper is Nanna'a Wallpaper from Funky Fairies which sadly is no longer operating and the sentiment is from a clear stamp set of wedding sentiments by Woodware.

This one is very similar to the black, white and red Wedding card above but I used the damask papers in Ocean from the Spring Wishes kit by Pink Petticoat and again the flower was cut by my Silhouette but this time I didn't emboss it.

This one is my personal favourite, it's for my friend who has just had a gorgeous baby girl called Simran, my friend is not a fan of pink so I went for the gingham papers in crimson from Pink Petticoat, the letters and Kraft card are also from Pink Petticoat and the pram and white lace trim were cut out by my trusty Silhouette
.

This one is as above but I used Ocean coloured doodle dots paper from Pink Petticoat.

Well that's it folks, thanks for stopping by, all comments are greatly appreciated and I promise to be a better blogger in future.

Hope you liked my cards
