Allsorts Challenge

This week the Allsorts Challenge is to create something using hearts and flowers, I used some papers from my Sweet Sundaes kit from Pink Petticoat and my newly purchased images also from Pink Petticoat. The card is for a friend who has just found out she is pregnant so I thought the sentiment with the image was very fitting as she is about to go on the journey of her life.

Allsorts Challenge and Clares Weekly Challenge

I made this card with Clare's sketch challenge in mind then it wasn't until I finished it I realised it is pink and brown therefore fitting perfectly in with the Allsorts challenge this week which was to make a creation in pink and brown.

The papers I used are from the free CD with the latest edition of the Docrafts magazine, it's a great CD, loads of fabby papers as well as decoupage, templates, projects etc....... I don't normally make A6 cards but decided that when I am making cards for challenges etc. I am going to do them A6 then donate to the Cancer Research Craft for Life campaign.

This is Clares sketch -

Mini Maze Book

I saw this Mini Maze book on Creativity TV and seeing how simple it was to make I just had to have a go, It's made with just one sheet of 12" x 12" paper!!!!!!!! I now finally have a use for all of the scrapbooking paper that I've bought over the years but never actually managed to get into scrapbooking. The kit I have used I bought from QVC a couple of years ago and the subjects of my first maze book are my nieces Emma and Carly.

Allsorts Blog Challenge

Here is my entry for this weeks challenge on Allsorts blog, it's been ages since I have completed a challenge but I think I'll make a resolution to do one per week.

The challenge was a sketch challenge using something old or something new. Well mine is most definately new as I have only just learned how to do Digital Scrapbooking TODAY!!! so it doesn't get much newer than that!

This was the sketch...........

And this is my version, I have changed the shapes around and added a bit of text in the top corner but apart from that it should all be there.

Hope you like it

The digital papers and embellishments are a free download from Free Digital Scrapbooking

My First Ever Digital Scrapbook Page !!!!!!!

I am so excited, after months of wanting to give digital scrapbooking a go I finally took the plunge today and look what I created .....................

It's taken me about 2 hours lol and I know it might not look much to seasoned scrapbookers but I am so proud of it!!! I have been downloading all of the free kits for ages and using the papers for card making but was always a bit to scared to start to learn photoshop as it looked so scary. I have loads of scrapbooking albums and materials in my craft room but was too frightened to start using them in case I made a mess of my lovely papers, so digi scrapping seemed a great way to practise without ruining any of my stuff.

I am so pleased I did it and will definitely be making more, the tutorial I followed was from Shabby Princess and it took me step by step through everything so I would definitely recommend it just click here.
Thanks for popping by, and by the way even if you don't want to give digi scrapping a go, try the free digi sties on my list as there a loads of beautiful free papers ready to print.
Have fun
Wendy
